Piedmont Police are investigating an armed robbery which took place at the Raceway Service Station on North Main Street Wednesday evening.
Very little information is being released at this time due the ongoing investigation, however Piedmont Police Chief Freddie Norton has confirmed to WEIS Radio News that incident did in fact occur.
According to a News Release from the Piedmont PD, the suspect is believed to be a black male that was armed with a handgun possibly driving a Silver SUV.
