Police Searching for “Person of Interest” in Robbery Case

Bike Trail 2Police in Rome, Georgia have released a picture of a “person of interest” in connection with a robbery occurring on the bike trail near Turner-McCall Boulevard.

The victim reported to officers that he was walking along the section of trail between Olive Garden and Blu Fin at night, when a suspect or suspects, took his wallet, which contained a small amount of cash, an ID, a work permit and a Wells Fargo bank card.

Police have surveillance video showing a black female, identified as Amberia Nicole Smith – making various transactions using the stolen card.

Thus far, about $2,500 has been taken from the victim’s account.
