Details remain sketchy – however, we’ve had reports of an 18-wheeler accident on Highway 35 about three-quarters up the mountain from Blanche going toward Ft Payne around 10:50 Monday morning.
We understand that the driver was unhurt; however, it appears that the road may be closed to traffic in the area or at least down to one lane for some time and we do suggest taking an alternate route if possible.
The Broomtown Fire Department has been called out to handle traffic along that stretch of roadway and an Alabama State Trooper has been dispatched to the scene.
