A Rainbow City police captain was arrested on Saturday in connection with a sex crime.
According to a news release from the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office, 45 year old David Chase Jenkins of Rainbow City is currently being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center without bond.
Details on the alleged crime and the charges weren’t released. Charges are pending as the investigation continues.
Jenkins was placed on leave from the police department.
