“Restaurant: Impossible” Coming to DeKalb County This Weekend

This is sure to be a big weekend for one DeKalb County restaurant on the rocks.

Big Jim’s Bama Q in Hammondville has sought help from Chef Robert Irvine and Food Network show “Restaurant: Impossible”.

New owner, Daniel Millican of Valley Head, purchased the restaurant from “Big Jim” McManus last summer (2013) and he has appealed to Irvine to get the Bama Q back on track.

The makeover will be taking place this Friday (March 6th) with the re-Grand Opening set for this Saturday (March 7th).

According to the Ft Payne Times-Journal the restaurant will re-open at 7:00 that evening and anyone looking to make a reservation can attempt to do so by calling (256) 635-6160.

“Restaurant: Impossible” tries to save restaurants from impending failure over the course of two days with a budget of $10,000 – revamping the look and feel of the establishment, along with the menu.

The show has been a huge hit on the Food Network and is now in its eight season.
