Robber Reportedly Makes Off With $6,000 from Gadsden Jet-Pep Station

An individual armed with a large knife reportedly held up the Jet Pep Station located on South 11th Street in Gadsden, at around 4:00am Wednesday.

The 21 year old store clerk told police that a man entered the store wearing a dark navy blue shirt and pants, gloves and a red bandana – and when he approached the clerk he pulled out the knife and demanded money.

According to the incident report the employee said the man put the money in a bag and also took cash from the store safe – which was open.

The man then fled the store with an estimated $6,000.

The Shell Station in the 500 block of George Wallace Drive was robbed by two men about 11:00 Tuesday night; the pair got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

It’s unknown if the two incidents are related and both robberies remain under investigation.
