A Rome man wanted for armed robbery was captured in Mississippi on Tuesday.
According to a news release from Corporal M.C. Parris of the Floyd County police department, 25-year-old Toby Lee Tucker was involved in a police chase in Meridian, Mississippi that covered 30 miles and two counties.
The GMC Sierra truck that Tucker was driving was reported stolen from the family of a Floyd County police officer and was totaled during the chase.
Tucker is accused of robbing the Citgo Convenience store at 5646 Alabama Highway on Sunday afternoon. He is also facing a probation violation.
Police say the investigation is ongoing in Mississippi and Floyd County.
