Rome Police Smell Marijuana Coming From Home, Make Arrests

Police in Rome arrested three men on drug charges after reportedly smelling the odor of marijuana coming from the air conditioning unit of a home on Nixon Avenue.

According to Floyd County Jail records, it all began after police were dispatched to the residence in response to complaints of loud music.

That’s when officers noticed the smell.

Reports indicate police then discovered marijuana and hyrdrocodone inside the house.

40-year old Patrick Lee Davis, 21-year old Jason Barrett and 31 year old Taurus Dejuane Winston were each charged with felony counts of possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule II drugs and possession of Schedule II drugs with intent to distribute.
