Ruth Day Williams, age 80 of Centre, passed away Friday, February 27th at Cherokee Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 3:PM Sunday, March 1st at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. George Cobb and Rev. Lynn Hughston officiating; burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3:PM Sunday.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.
Survivors include daughters, Kay (Ricky) Davis of Jacksonville, Kim (Phillip) Abernathy of Centre; brother, Donald (Wanda) Day of Leesburg; sister, Margie Womack of Centre; brother-in-law, John Williams of Centre; grandchildren, Brandon (Jessica) Singleton, Blake (Christy) Singleton, Colby Abernathy (Megan McCullough), Dustin (Tanya) Adderhold, Kendra Adderhold, Gina Adderhold, Whitney (Kirby) Watson, Grant Davis; great grandchildren, Kiser Singleton, Tegan Singleton, Tessa Singleton, Cody Adderhold, Dalton Adderhold, Ashlyn Adderhold, Morgan Adderhold, Camri Adderhold, Jade Neir, Chandler Wheeler; special caregivers, Katie Reece, Breta Covington, Susan Lemley Covington; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lake Williams; son, Tommy Lee Adderhold; brother, Billy Wayne Day.
Mrs. Williams was a native of Tennessee, the daughter of the late Willie Mert and Dora Lee Prater Day and was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tates Chapel Cemetery Fund or Fairview Cemetery Fund.
