Samsung Offering Note 7 Exchanges, Refunds at Some US Airports

Samsung(NEW YORK) — If you still haven’t returned your Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and need to travel, the cellphone maker may have a solution for you.

In a statement Monday, Samsung said it’s providing support to owners of the smartphone and “exchanging their devices or refunding them in a wide range of places, including at some of the most frequently visited airports around the country.”

The company did not specify at which airports customers could find assistance.

The news comes days after the Department of Transportation announced a ban on all Galaxy Note 7 phones, calling the potential of a fire hazard “too great for anyone to risk.”

“We know this new order is an inconvenience to our customers but your safety has to remain our top priority,” Samsung noted.
