Firefighters spent much of the night at the scene of a house fire Saturday on Alabama Highway 9 just past the Country Store in Cedar Bluff.

Tina and Gary Gordon were at home when the fire broke at around 7 p.m.

They were able to get out quickly and call 911.

By the time firefighters arrived the home was fully involved.

Cedar Bluff Fire Chief Bobby Joe Stinson, who says the injuries sustained by the three firefighters from Cedar Bluff, one from Broomtown and one from Gaylesville were not serious.

Stinson says firefighters were on the scene until the early hours of Sunday and he commended them for their hard work.

Then, firefighters were called back out to the scene at around 8 Sunday morning in response to a restart.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time.

Once again, most importantly, there were no serious injuries.

However, the homeowners did lose almost all of their belongings that were in the house.
