Senator Luther Strange Discusses the Economic Outlook, Proposed EPA Regulation Revisions and the NRA

Former Alabama Attorney General, and current State Senator, Luther Strange paid a visit to Cherokee County this week meeting with constituents at Tony’s Steak Barn and later sitting down for an interview with  owner/operator Jerry Baker in the studios of WEIS Radio.

When asked about the changes proposed by President Trump in regard to EPA regulations, specifically, relaxing the constraints put in place by the Obama administration – he had this to say:

Regarding the economic outlook the senator stressed that it was time to get away from that “gloom and doom” attitude that has been hanging over the country for far too long:

During his visit, Strange didn’t shy away from any topic, and when asked about the NRA ads – seen by some as “jarring”, he answered in a very simple, straightforward manner as well:

The following is a brief clip from one of those ads – this one featuring Charlie Daniels:

Strange had served as the 47th Attorney General of Alabama from 2011 to 2017 – however, when Senator Jeff Sessions was appointed by President Donald Trump as Attorney General of the U.S., Luther Strange was appointed by then-Governor Robert Bentley to fill the senate seat held by Sessions.

Strange is currently in a run-off with Roy Moore in an effort to retain that seat.  That run-off will be held on September 26th, with the winner facing former U.S. Attorney Doug Jones in the December 12th general election.
