State Senator Phil Williams, Lt. Governor Kay Ivey, State Representative Richard Lindsey – and other officials will host a press conference on the campus of Gadsden State Cherokee in Centre on Friday (October 3rd) at 9:00am, where representatives from Auburn University will announce the start of a historic educational partnership with Gadsden State Cherokee.
The educational partnership between Auburn and Gadsden State-Cherokee will lead to new job training and educational opportunities for Cherokee County residents.
In addition to the press conference at Gadsden State Lt. Governor Ivey will be touring other locations in Etowah and Cherokee Counties throughout the day.
Both Senator Williams and Lt. Governor Ivey will be in the WEIS Radio studios prior to that event; they will be guests on the WEIS Radio morning show starting at 7:15.
