Several Vehicles Involved in Highway 27 Accident Saturday Night

A series of accidents in Chattooga County left several people injured over the weekend.

Georgia State Patrol officials said the wrecks occurred about 7:00pm Saturday, on Highway 27 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Road, near Magnolia Ridge.

Reports have yet to be completed; however, we were informed that it appears there were five vehicles involved over what the troopers are referring to as “three separate accidents” along that stretch of roadway.

Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader said several people were taken from the scene to area medical facilities, but no details are yet available, and we still haven’t been informed of what actually led to the series of wrecks.

We’ll have additional information once it’s made available from the Georgia State Patrol Public Information Officer.
