Silver Creek Woman Charged with Vehicular Homicide

A Floyd County woman is facing numerous charges, including vehicular homicide – after her vehicle collided with a tractor over the weekend.

Stacie Waddell Henson, age 34 of Silver Creek – allegedly struck a hay bale being carried by the tractor while she was traveling at a ‘high rate of speed” in an Honda Accord.

The impact caused the tractor to roll over, landing in a ditch.

59 year old Jerry Eugene Robinson was fatally injured after being thrown from the seat and suffering blunt force trauma to the head and neck.

The crash took place on Bellview Road in Polk County Saturday; Robinson was pronounced dead at Polk Medical Center; his body has been sent to the Georgia Crime Lab for autopsy.

Henson has been charged with Homicide by Vehicle 1st Degree, in addition to: DUI, Driving on a Suspended License, No Insurance and Following too Closely.
