Single Car Crash Takes Out Power North Of Cedar Bluff

A single vehicle accident took out power to residents in the Farril Community just north of Cedar Bluff on Monday afternoon. According to reports the mishap occurred just after 3:15 approximately one mile east of Alabama Highway 35.

According to the Cedar Bluff Fire Department, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a power pole snapping it in half. Firefighters worked to control traffic as Cherokee Electric Crews were working to replace the broken pole.

Cherokee EMS crews also responded as a precautionary measure. Fortunately, the driver of the vehicle was not injured. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency also responded to the scene. We will have additional information as soon as the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report is released.
