Single Vehicle Crash Takes Out Power In Cedar Bluff Overnight, Driver Arrested

TiffanyLynnBoozerA single vehicle accident in Cedar Bluff took out power to most of the town at around 11:30 Friday night.

According to Cedar Bluff Police Chief Steve Walden the female driver of a 2004 Jeep Liberty never checked up when she ran through the intersection of Highway 9 & 68 in front of the Weiss Mart Marina and struck a power pole breaking it in half before coming to rest in a steep ditch.

27 year old Tiffany Lynn Boozer of Rome was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center just after 12:30 p.m. charged with DUI of Any Substance, after she was found to be under the influence of drugs following the crash.

It took Cherokee Electric Crews well over five hours to make the necessary repairs to restore power.

The Cedar Bluff Police and Fire Department also responded to the scene.
