Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin announced on Tuesday, that an arrest had been made in connection with a recent burglary occurring in Hokes Bluff.
27 year old Matthew Leonard Green of Piedmont, was arrested and charged with one count of Receiving Stolen Property 3rd Degree, after being caught passed out in a vehicle while he was allegedly under the influence of narcotics, on White’s Chapel Road.
Inside that vehicle, police found a safe, and a driver’s license from a residence on Bachelor’s Chapel Road.
Green is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center with bond set at $1,500.
