Three individuals who’d broken into a residence on County Road 24 in DeKalb County, July 7th, had apparently returned the following day and were trying to break-into a camper on the property
What they didn’t realize was the homeowner was inside the residence – and was in the process of cleaning up from the first break-in, when he heard the subjects talking outside.
He went to see what was going on – and took his gun with him.
The man held the three at gunpoint until law enforcement arrived on the scene.
Crossville Police Officers and DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies searched the vehicle the suspects had arrived in – and found items taken from the victim’s home.
At that point, 33 year old Christopher Allen Kuykendall of Albertville and Kenneth Seay, age 40, and Brittany Nicole Seay, age 24 – both of Guntersville – were all arrested, and charged with 3rd Degree Burglary.
All three are currently house guests at the DeKalb County Detention Center.
