Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
According to Rome Police reports, a 34 year old Summerville man met with officers around 2:00am Sunday saying that he’d been robbed after leaving the Club Lexus.
He told officers that he was in the area of East 14th and Cedar Streets, when he noticed that he was being followed by three black males and two black females.
The victim said the suspects jumped him and took his shoes, his pants and his cell phone, in addition to around $200 in cash.
The report indicated that when officers arrived on the scene – they found the man wearing only a white, button down shirt – and he was bleeding from the nose and mouth.
The investigation into the matter is on-going.
