Summerville Woman Accused of Trying to Hire “Hit Man”

Mostiller, Brenda

Investigators with the Summerville Police Department, have obtained a warrant for a 54 year old Summerville woman, Brenda Mostiller, who is accused of attempting to hire someone to kill her estranged husband.

An investigation was launched following an anonymous tip and evidence gathered indicated that Brenda Mostiller, had, at least on two separate occasions, paid “up front” money to an individual for the murder, along with photos of the intended victim, and she also suggested locations where the “hit” could take place.

It was also learned by investigators that Ms. Mostiller herself had been a victim of sorts –as the person pretending to be a “hit man”, had simply been taking her money – and he had no intention whatsoever of actually killing anyone.

Mostiller has been charged with one count of Criminal Solicitation to Commit Murder – which is a felony charge punishable by one to five years imprisonment.
