Summerville Woman Killed In Floyd County Wreck

A Chattooga County woman was killed in a wreck involving a passenger car and a tractor trailer Tuesday morning in Floyd County.

56-year old Trudie R. Casey of Summerville died when her Chevy Aveo was caught underneath the 18-wheeler after the big rig pulled out from a convenience store on U.S. 27 near Highway 411 south of Rome.

The driver of the tractor trailer, identified as 33-year old Anthony Harold Potter of Crossville, Alabama, was charged second degree vehicular homicide and failure to yield the right of way.
