A 25 year old man was recently arrested in Anniston, in connection with the shooting death of a Gadsden man. Brandon Lamar Marshall was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals about 8:00 Wednesday night in the 1400 block of Noble Street.
He is being held in the Etowah County Jail, in connection with the murder of Brandon Omar Kirkland age 43 who was shot several times in the 1100 block of Stillman Avenue at around 2:00 that afternoon.
Kirkland later died at UAB Hospital.
Police have thus far refused to comment on any possible motive for the murder, saying only that they do not expect anyone else to be charged in connection with the case.
