Alabama will be hosting its annual Sales Tax Holiday this weekend, Friday – Sunday August 1st – 3rd.
During that time – back to school shoppers can save on selected school supplies, computers and clothing FREE of state sales tax.
The list includes – clothing priced at $100 or less per item; computers and software with a single purchase sale price of $750 or less; a variety of school supplies including school art supplies and instructional materials priced at $50 or under per item and books with a price of $30 or less.
Local municipalities taking part in the tax free weekend promotion include Centre, Cedar Bluff, Leesburg and Piedmont among others.
