Team Cherokee Heading to California for World Championship Robotics Competition

Team Cherokee 1

Team Cherokee recently took first place in the State VEX IQ Robotics Competition, held at JSU; the team now moves on to the World Championship taking place in Anaheim, California.

The VEX Robotics World Championship brings together top robotics teams on a World Stage – offering students a “once-in-a-lifetime” experience.

Team Cherokee is coached by Randy Rainey and Betsy Rainer, and they told WEIS Radio News that Team Cherokee greatly appreciates all of the help they’ve received thus far this year, adding that anyone who would like information on how they can help the robotics team to raise expense money for the upcoming World Championship trip, can call (256) 557-6815.
