A teenage mother was jailed after reportedly admitting to law enforcement officials she had used meth while pregnant.
Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin says that 19 year old Alexis Lynn Grubbs of Piedmont has been charged with using drugs while pregnant; according to the news release issued by the sheriff’s office, she admitted as much to investigators and tested positive for the drug.
Grubbs is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a cash bond of $10,000 and as a condition of the bond she will be required to complete a treatment program and will be monitored by Etowah County Community Corrections.
