The DeKalb County School Board has approved a bid of just under $1.7 million, for ten new classrooms at Collinsville High School.
That contract went to the low bidder – Tolar Construction of Scottsboro.
Superintendent Hugh Taylor said that the cost of the project actually came in slightly lower than expected. Board Member Harold Bobo stated even though the school is running out of land on campus, some space does still remain behind the baseball field.
No word yet on when the project is slated to get underway.
