iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Black Friday sales boast some of the biggest bargains of the holiday season, both in stores and online.
But there are two types of deals shoppers should scope out: limited-quantity doorbusters that require precision timing and research and general deals that have lots of inventory and could potentially last through Friday, or even into the weekend.
As always, the key words for scoring a deal are “limited quantity.” This means you’ll have to time your trips to the store or the website.
Deals that are advertised in newspaper circulars, email blasts or with the search tools on deal aggregator sites like BFADS.net have information about when the deals go live online or when the store opens. That info is crucial with any deal that’s listed as being “limited inventory.” Stores will often go live with deals online before they open the physical doors to their stores.
It’s important to check time zones for these deals because in most cases doorbusters online are pegged to the East Coast timezone.
These are not always the best reviewed products but they are the best prices. Research review sites to make sure the sale item is really the best purchase.
