Floyd County authorities arrested three people on drug charges Friday night.

According to those jail reports, 42 year old Russell Shayne Almond and 44 year old Melissa Dale Cordle along with 50 year old James Calvin Tolbert were all arrested at a residence on Weathington Road.

Almond and Cordle were found in a bedroom with a bag of suspected marijuana, a bag with suspected methamphetamine, multiple empty bags and digital scales. Tolbert was found to be in possession of suspected meth along with a glass smoking pipe filled with white crystal residue.

All three were taken into custody – charged with possession of methamphetamine and the possession of drug-related objects; Almond and Cordle were additionally charged with the possession of meth with the intent to distribute, the possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Almond was also charged with felony criminal trespass – after having being warned not to ride his four wheeler on the property of another resident of Weathington Road, by both the landowner and law enforcement officials.

He is also suspected of stealing items from the victim’s property.
