Three Dead in Rosalie Following Severe Storms Overnight

At least three people are confirmed dead, in the wake of severe storms which moved across portions of northeast Alabama overnight. 

The fatalities occurred in the Rosalie area of Jackson County and according to Sheriff Chuck Phillips, they all appear to be from the same household. 

Many others reportedly suffered injuries in that storm – which caused significant damage to the Rosalie Plaza and Macklin Baptist Church, along Highway 71 – that, in addition to homes in the vicinity.

DeKalb County EMA Director Anthony Clifton, has informed media outlets, that a number of homes along County Roads 159 and 330 in Ider were also damaged.
