A two-vehicle collision occurring front of the Cedar Bluff Piggly Wiggly Thursday afternoon resulted in three people being sent to the hospital.

According to the Cedar Bluff Police Department accident report, the wreck involved a 2004 Chevy Tahoe and a 1998 GMC 1500 Van, and according to eyewitnesses the van pulled from the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly onto Highway 9 into the path of the oncoming Tahoe.

The impact then caused the Tahoe to roll several times before finally coming to rest in front of Cedar Bluff Storage.  All three occupants of the vehicle, 46 year old Corey Morris, Barbara Morris and another family member, were carried by EMS to Redmond Regional in Rome for treatment.

The occupants of the Van, 87 year old Lois Gunter and a passenger, J.D. Gunter, were unhurt

The Cedar Bluff Police and Fire Departments, Cherokee County Rescue Squad and Cherokee EMS responded to the scene.
