Three Killed in Monday Morning Accident on HIghway 77

Three people were killed Monday morning – when their vehicle collided with a tractor trailer on Highway 77 in Etowah County.

According to accident reports the victims were listed as an Attalla couple – 58 year old Paul Pratt and his wife, 59 year old Sherry Pratt – who both died on the scene.  Their five year old grandson Corbin Swann, died after being transported to Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

The crash took place in front of the Wendy’s when according to witnesses, Pratt’s Toyota Camry veered into the path of the on-coming truck.

The rig was transporting half of a double-wide mobile home – and the Camry clipped the front of the truck before going underneath the mobile home and then running off the roadway.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
