Piedmont Residents Stand Charged with Burglary in Cherokee County

According to information in a news release from Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver – three individuals were recently arrested in connection with a burglary occurring the day before.

The burglary took place on commercial property located on Highway 278.

Deputies and investigators were able to recover most of the stolen property.

Cody William Brown and Jessica Michelle Mathely, both age 27 – were charged with Theft of Property 1st Degree and with six counts each of Burglary 3rd Degree, and 33 year old Jason Allen Farmer, age 33, was charged with Theft of Property 1st Degree.

All three subjects are from Piedmont, and they all remain in the Cherokee County Detention Center.

Bond for Brown has been set at $21,000; at $15,000 for Mathely and at $7,500 for Farmer.
