Time is running out for the lottery and casino bill in the State Legislature; the gambling bill will be dead for the session unless it wins Senate approval today (Thursday).
Senate President Pro Tem Del Marsh says gambling should be an option to find some much needed revenue for Alabama and he proposed allowing the residents of the state to vote on creating a statewide lottery and allowing casinos at state dog tracks.
Even though the State Tourism Committee approved the legislation, the bill hasn’t gotten a floor vote.
