Tony’s Pizzas and Subs in Cedar Bluff held its official Grand Opening Saturday.
Officials from the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce, County Commission Chairman Kirk Day and Cedar Bluff Mayor Martha Baker were all on hand for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
The WEIS Radio Road Crew was on hand for a live remote.
There was also a vintage car show, food and drink specials, an Itti Bitz ice cream bitz special, all day Happy Hour, and more!
Piggly Wiggly’s Mr. Pig even made an appearance and there were giveaways including tickets to Six Flags, Lake Winnie, and the Rome Braves.
The Cherokee County Humane Society Adoption Center brought puppies in need loving homes.
Tony’s Pizzas and Subs owner Tony Willbanks, who moved to Cedar Bluff from Valley Head about 10 years ago, spoke with WEIS Radio News during the event.
He said that he got into the restaurant business after the steel mill he worked at for 15 years closed.
He then told us a little about the menu.
You can also get chicken wings cooked when ordered and dipped in Tony’s homemade sauce.
Tony’s Pizzas and Subs is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and from noon until 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Willbanks says those hours will expand this fall.
That number is (256) 557-8651.
