Town of Leesburg to Serve as Grand Marshal of Cherokee County Christmas Parade

During the most recent meeting of the Leesburg Town Council, it was announced that the firm of Buttram, Hawkins & Hopper, LLC will represent the town in legal matters beginning January 1st (2014).

In other business – the council discussed plans for major changes that’ll be occurring at Leesburg Landing over the next several months; following that meeting WEIS Radio spoke with Mayor Ed Mackey about the development projects

The Town of Leesburg has also been chosen to act as the Grand Marshal for this year’s Cherokee County Christmas Parade

The mayor was referring to Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Theresa Hulgan.

The parade kicks-off at 10:00 this Saturday morning (December 7th) with the route beginning at DC Gas running down Main Street and ending up at Centre Elementary School.
