The trial of former Rome businessman Lance Walker is now underway. Walker was indicted last October (2012) on charges of Child Molestation and Aggravated Child Molestation, sodomy and two counts of Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes.
According to court documents the alleged incidents took place between August 2009 and May of 2010 at Walker’s home and at his business – Walker Orthopedics – on Redmond Road in Rome.
He is accused of engaging in sexual acts with a female child, who was under the age of sixteen at the time.
Police arrested Walker at his business on September 5th of last year.
The non-jury trial is in front of U.S. District Judge J. Bryant Durham.
