State Troopers Work Two Separate Single Vehicle Accidents on Sunday in Cherokee County

Alabama State Troopers worked two separate single-vehicle accidents involving injuries in Cherokee County on Sunday.

The first took place at 2:05am on County Road 12, about three miles north of Piedmont and involved a 2015 GMC being driven by 19 year old Riley Keener of Piedmont. 

The second, which took place just before 2:00 that afternoon on Highway 68 approximately one mile north of Gaylesville, involved a 2010 Harley Davidson, being driven by 67 year old Gaylesville resident Jesse Harrell.

No additional information regard the extent of their injuries was immediately available; the reports did note that Harrell was wearing his helmet in the motorcycle accident and Keener was not wearing his seatbelt in the auto accident.

Both wrecks remain under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
