Truck, Tools Stolen From Rome Business

WRGA News –

A Rome police officer discovered early Saturday morning that a Rome business had been burglarized.

According to a Rome police report, the officer noticed around 5:30 a.m. that the rollup door at Phil Burkhalter Builders on North Second Avenue was open.

The business owner was out of town but told officers he had seen pictures of the business sent to him by his business partner and it appeared some tools and a dump truck was taken. The truck is valued at $16,000.

Officers found a wrench near the business that could have been used to gain entry.
