WEIS Radio has invited various members of the school system to visit the studios and share with listeners information on some things that the students of Cherokee County can look forward to as they begin the new school year.
On Tuesday morning – Jayne Davis spoke with Jerry Baker about Federal Programs and how our system is affected by the funding along with other topics – such as the new pre-k program for the upcoming year at Spring Garden School.
Dr. Ann Dykes discussed food nutrition within the school system, and how meals are affected by the guidelines established to make sure that every child receives a balanced meal, with the proper nutritional values.
She also spoke on a variety of other topics including income guidelines for reduced price meals.
