WEIS Radio News has received reports of two separate accidents occurring on Highway 68 Wednesday morning.
The first was a single-vehicle rollover occurring on Highway 68 outside of Leesburg around 9:30am at the bridge going up the mountain. Reports indicated that no one was hurt in that accident. Leesburg and Sand Rock firefighters responded to the scene.
There was also a report of an 18-wheeler leaving the roadway, on the Collinsville side of 68, near the old National Guard Armory.
It was reported that the truck, which appeared to be hauling feed, ended up more than fifty feet off the roadway. No information regarding any injuries has yet been made available.
Both wrecks remain under investigation, and it’s unclear whether heavy rains played a role in either accident.
We’ll have additional information as it becomes available.
