Two people were arrested at a motel at 3417 Martha Berry on drug charges Friday.
According to Floyd County Jail reports, 33-year old Nikki Jean Kent, whose address was listed as homeless, and 39-year old Joshua Lee Taylor of Baileytown, Alabama were found in possession of cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamine, prescription drugs and a firearm.
Both are charged with drug trafficking, possession of cocaine, marijuana and meth with the intent to distribute, possession of Schedule II and Schedule IV drugs, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of drug-related objects.
Taylor was additionally charged with being a fugitive from justice because there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Alabama.
