Two Arrested On Drug Charges In Rome On Friday In Two Seperate Incidents

Two people were arrested in Rome on Friday on drug charges at a home on Nelson Street.

According to records at the Floyd County Jail, 50-year old Lisa Marie Yates, of a Dodd Boulevard address, was found in possession of a baggie containing a green, leafy substance, scales, empty baggies, a baggie containing a crystal-like substance, and a glass pipe.

yatesFloyd County Police also found Xanax, Hydrocodone, and Clonazepam. Yates did not have a prescription for these drugs.

She also had antibiotics that were prescribed to someone else.

Charges against Yates include possession of meth, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of Schedule II and IV controlled substances, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drugs not in the original container, possession of drug related objects and a probation violation.

Meanwhile, 57-year old Anthony Lee Ely Sr., of a Old Cedartown Highway address in Lindale, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug related objects after police found a glass pipe with a crystal-like residue in it.
Police say Ely admitted the pipe was his.
