A traffic stop in Etowah County landed two men behind bars on firearms charges according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin; 43 year old Gadsden resident Jeremy Shea Ledbetter was arrested and charged with Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm, which is a felony.
He was driving the vehicle that was pulled over on Oakleigh Drive by Deputy Joshua Gaskin, and Deputy Chris Smith; the passenger in the vehicle, 25 year old Ezekiel Brenis Kuzed, also of Gadsden was placed under arrest on a charge of Carrying a Concealed Weapon without a Permit, which is a misdemeanor.
Ledbetter also has outstanding warrants from the Southside Police Department.
Both men were booked in at the Etowah County Detention Center and both have since been released – Ledbetter after making bond of $15,000; Kuzed after meeting his $1,000 bond.
