Two Charged in Connection with Rome Murder; Third Suspect Still at Large

Two women have been charged with party to the crime of murder in connection with the discovery of a body behind a duplex in West Rome earlier this week.

According to warrants at the Floyd County Jail, 20-year-old Delaney Scott Ray of Rome, and 19-year-old Kelesha Corron Dorsey of a Flannery Street address – acted in conjunction with Kyle Strother and committed the offense of armed robbery and while in the act, the victim – Cristobol Becerras-Contreras – was shot and killed.

Strother has not yet been arrested.

Rome Police responded to a duplex on Wood Creek Way off of Wilkerson Road Tuesday and discovered the victim’s body behind the residence.

The man’s body was sent to the GBI Crime Lab.
