What was described by authorities as a “major methamphetamine bust” has taken place in Marshall County.
Officials aren’t offering any specific information regarding the amount of meth seized in the operation – choosing instead to say only that two people have been arrested on trafficking charges after they were caught with a “substantial” amount of the drug.
Edger Jesus Cervantes and Zanda Lee Gonzales, both residents of Attalla – are currently in the Marshall County Jail on Drug Trafficking charges, with bond set at $100,000 each.
According to WAFF TV48, both subjects have another case in Etowah County for trafficking – but as of now, court documents have not been filed.
