Two Georgia Men Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges in Cherokee County

Two Georgia men were arrested on drug trafficking charges in Cherokee County Sunday night.

CCSO - SmithAccording to information on the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office website, 37 year old Thomas Watson Smith of Rome was charged with Drug Trafficking, Resisting Arrest and Attempting to Elude – meanwhile Joseph Daniel Kennamer, age 40 of Cave Spring, Georgia, was charged with Drug Trafficking and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

CCSO - KennamerBoth were booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center shortly before midnight and bond has yet to be set for either individual.

No additional information regarding the arrests has yet been made available.
