Two Georgia Residents Injured in Gaylesville Accident Occurring Monday

Two people were reportedly injured in a collision involving a 1993 Harley-Davidson Motorcycle and a 1997 Ford just after 5:30 Monday afternoon in Gaylesville.

According to the Jacksonville Post of the Alabama State Troopers, those on the motorcycle were listed as Georgia residents James and Audrey Gilliland, both 45 years of age and the driver of the Ford was listed as Gaylesville resident Phillip Pittman.

The accident report indicated that Audrey Gilliland was air-lifted from the scene by LifeSaver Helicopter and flown to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga meanwhile James Gilliland was transported by ambulance to Redmond Regional in Rome.

No additional information regarding the extent of their injuries has been made available.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
