Two Hurt in Cherokee County Accident on Highway 68

A two-vehicle accident resulted in two people being hurt Tuesday evening in Cherokee County.

According to the Alabama State Trooper accident report that accident occurred on Highway 68 at 6:00pm and involved a 2000 Ford being driven by Randy Hayes, age 42 of Florence; both he and a passenger in the vehicle, 28 year old Haley Wright, were listed as being hurt. 

The driver of the other vehicle, Crossville resident William Jones driving a 2001 Dodge, escaped injury.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation – no additional information was available regarding the extent of the injuries suffered by Hayes or Wright.
