Two Hurt in Cherokee County Accidents on Sunday

Two Cherokee County accidents resulted in as many injuries on Sunday (June 2nd).

According to the Alabama State Troopers Post at Jacksonville the first wreck occurred at 7:00am on County Road 29 and involved a 2003 Toyota, being driven by 26 year old Amanda Blackwell of Rome.  She was taken by ambulance to Floyd Medical Center, and from there was transported to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.

A second accident took place just after 12:00 noon on County Road 54 and that wreck resulted in 19 year old Centre resident Joshua Cole Lamb, driving a 1997 Toyota – being hurt. 

No additional information regarding the condition of either driver has been released.

Both wrecks remain under investigation by state troopers.
